Winner Announced for the "Ultimate Wine Country Experience"


We have just announced the winner from the "Ultimate Wine Country Experience" contest! S. We were pleased to see yesterday in USA TODAY Jerry Shriver mentioned the Finger Lakes Wine Festival in his roundup of the top wine and food festivals in the United States. Day One:
Arrive at Finger Lakes Wine Country, New York in the late afternoon and check-in to your beautiful Seneca Lake view room at the Inn at Glenora Wine Cellars. Enjoy a wine pairing dinner at their beautiful on-site restaurant, Veraisons, prepared by CIA trained chef, Orlando Rodriguez.

Day Two:
Enjoy a convenient breakfast at the Inn and then begin your first day of wine tasting. You will visit four award-winning vineyards around Seneca and Keuka lakes. Discover first hand some of the region’s world-class Rieslings, stroll through vineyards with owners, and taste wine in the cellars with leading winemakers. Start your Super Bowl weekend (Saturday/February 2, 2008) by joining us at our 6th Annual Mardi Gras event. This year we're starting this event an hour earlier at 9:00am so you'll have plenty of time to visit the east side wineries. When you visit King Ferry and Long Point wineries you'll receive Mardi Gras beads plus extra special giveaways. Snowshoeing in Finger Lakes Wine Country



Now that we have a fresh coat of snow in Finger Lakes Wine Country it is time to pull out the snowshoes! The 11th annual Finger Lakes Snowshoe, sponsored by the Finger Lakes Runner Club, will take place on Saturday, January 26, at the Finger Lakes National Forest in Hector, NY. The One-Mile Fun Run begins at 11AM and the 7.6 mile race follows at noon.
